3-Bromothianaphthene is a synthetic chemical that has the molecular formula C8H6Br. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon with a pyridine ring and a hydrocarbon group. It reacts with deuterium, forming a deuterated species. 3-Bromothianaphthene can be used for the synthesis of organic compounds via amination reactions, sulfoxide reactions, and quaternary ammonium salt reactions. This chemical has been shown to react at temperatures between -20°C and 130°C.
