CAS:1,2,3,4-Tetra-O-acetyl-beta-D-glucuronic acid methyl ester is a phosphatidylinositol (PtdIns) synthesis inhibitor. It inhibits the activation of the PtdIns 3 kinase enzyme by binding to its C2 domain. This inhibitor blocks the synthesis of PtdIns 3,4,5P3 and reduces the activity of protein kinases such as Akt and PKC. The structural analysis of this compound has been done on wild type virus and mouse tumor cells in vitro.
