CAS:Diallyldimethylammonium chloride is a cationic polymer that is insoluble in water. It is used as a coagulant and flocculent in wastewater treatment, and has been shown to be effective at removing chloride, water vapor, and fatty acids from wastewater. This polymer reacts with the hydroxyl group on the particle surface to form a polymer layer that traps particles together into larger aggregates. The reaction mechanism for this process occurs when the particle surfaces are contacted by an aqueous solution of diallyldimethylammonium chloride. The hydroxyl groups on the particle surface react with the cationic groups on the polymer to form a stable ionic bond. This process can also be reversed by adding sodium carbonate to the reaction solution, which will break down the ionic bonds and release any trapped particles.Formula:C8H16ClNPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:161.67 g/molRef: 3D-FD75517

CAS:Diallyldimethylammonium chloride is an ionic surfactant that is used in detergents and other cleaning compositions. It is a white, water-soluble solid with a strong odor. Diallyldimethylammonium chloride has been shown to be effective in removing fatty acids from wastewater, as well as aiding in the removal of phosphorus and nitrogen. The synthesis of this compound can be accomplished by reaction of dimethyl ammonium chloride with allyl chloride. This process can be carried out at room temperature under mild conditions, without the need for high temperatures or pressures. The reaction mechanism involves nucleophilic substitution at the carbon adjacent to the chlorine atom on the alkyl chain, leading to formation of a new covalent bond between the carbon and chlorine atom.Formula:C8H16ClNPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:161.67 g/molRef: 3D-FD180672
