CAS:4-Hydroxy-2-nitrobenzoic acid is an amino acid sequence that is a component of nitrate reductase, which reduces nitrates to nitrites. When it reacts with light, 4-hydroxy-2-nitrobenzoic acid can produce a laser beam. An analysis of the amino acid sequence has revealed that it has four residues with nitro groups and two residues with nitrate groups. This molecule is also found in polypeptides as a component of cell-free extracts from Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. The environment in which this molecule was grown does not appear to affect its composition. A strain of Escherichia coli was used for the production of 4-hydroxy-2-nitrobenzoic acid, but the supernatant from this strain did not contain any unlabeled molecules with this structure.Formula:C7H5NO5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:183.12 g/molRef: 3D-FH148234
