Methyl 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propiolate
CAS:Methyl 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propiolate is a reactive compound that reacts with protonation, electrophilic addition, and formation of carbocations. It is prepared by the substitution of dimethyl acetal and phenol groups with methyl groups. The x-ray diffraction data for the product was obtained at room temperature by using a preparative x-ray crystallography technique. The product does not react with air or water but will undergo oxidative dimerization to form benzene when exposed to air or water. Methyl 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propiolate has been shown to react with aromatic compounds as well as substituents such as hydrogen, chlorine, nitro, and acetoxy groups.Formula:C11H10O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:190.2 g/molMethyl 3-(4-methoxyphenyl)propiolate
