Vinyltrimethylsilane
CAS:Vinyltrimethylsilane is a solid catalyst that is used for cross-linking of polymers, such as polystyrene, polyvinyl chloride, and polymethyl methacrylate. The reaction mechanism involves the formation of a metal carbonyl complex with malonic acid and subsequent coordination to the vinyl group of the silane. Vinyltrimethylsilane can be used in low-energy metathesis reactions, such as the conversion of propylene into ethylene. It has been shown to be an optimum cross-linker at concentrations between 0.5% and 1%.Formula:C5H12SiPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:100.23 g/molRef: 3D-FV75796

CAS:Alkenylsilane Cross-Coupling Agent The cross-coupling reaction is a highly useful methodology for the formation of carbon-carbon bonds. It involves two reagents, with one typically being a suitable organometallic reagent - the nucleophile - and the other a suitable organic substrate, normally an unsaturated halide, tosylate or similar - the electrophile. CAS:Vinyltrimethylsilane is used in semiconductor processing. It is involved in the Preparation of silyl-ethers by Rh(I) catalysis. Further, it is used in the preparation of trimethylsilylethyl sulfoxides which in the presence of fluoride ion generate sulfenate nucleophiles.
