N-[4-Chloro-2-(phenylamino)phenyl]-N-methylacetamide (CAS No. 75524-13-9) is an impurity of the drug product 4-chloro-N-[4-(phenylamino)phenyl]benzamide, which is used to treat infections. The impurity has been found in natural products and can be synthesized in the laboratory. It has also been found as an API impurity in a number of drugs and is an impurity standard for HPLC analysis. The impurity has shown to be toxic to humans and animals, but it has not been shown to have any adverse effects on human health.
