Titanocene bis(trifluoromethanesulphonate)
CAS:Titanocene bis(trifluoromethanesulphonate) is a hexane analog of titanocene dichloride that has the same crystal structure and layered packing as benzene. The preparation of this compound is carried out by heating a mixture of titanium tetrachloride, hexane, and trifluoromethanesulfonic acid in a pressure vessel. Crystals are obtained from the filtrate by cooling. These crystals are then heated to obtain an x-ray crystal structure. This compound is insoluble in water and organic solvents such as benzene, chloroform, ether, and acetone. Titanocene bis(trifluoromethanesulphonate) is used as a reagent for the preparation of elemental analysis samples on a Kjeldahl apparatus or other chemical analyses techniques. It can also be used to synthesize diels-alder adducts with various dienes through an oxidative addition reactionFormula:C12H10F6O6S2TiPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:476.18 g/molTITANOCENE BIS(TRIFLUOROMETHANESULFONATE)
