CAS:S-(trifluoromethyl)-L-homocysteine is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of antimicrobial agents. It is an inhibitor of bacterial growth and can be used to treat infectious diseases caused by bacteria. S-(Trifluoromethyl)-L-homocysteine inhibits the synthesis of methionine by binding to corynebacterium glutamicum and preventing the formation of methionine from homocysteine. This compound has shown structural analysis in wild-type strains and synthetase mutations, which have revealed its hydrogen bonding interactions with trifluoroacetic acid and ph optimum. Chemical stability has also been demonstrated for this compound in the presence of various acids, bases, alcohols, and oxidizing agents.Formula:C5H8F3NO2SPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:203.18 g/mol
