Diethylene glycol divinyl ether is a polymer with a hydroxyl group at each end, which can be used to seal and coat surfaces. It is also a growth factor that can stimulate the growth of cells in culture. The organic acid diethylene glycol reacts with the radiation-induced radicals, leading to the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which induces rapid cell death.
