Tri(ethylene glycol) divinyl ether
CAS:Tri(ethylene glycol) divinyl ether (TEGDVE) is a reactive and hydrophobic compound that reacts with fatty acids. It is used as a fluorescence probe for the detection of hydroxyl groups, which are present in polymers, proteins, and DNA. TEGDVE can be used to detect water vapor and has been used as a chemical reaction agent for the synthesis of polycarboxylic acids. TEGDVE is also used to synthesize polymeric matrices for drug delivery systems by cationic polymerization. It can be adsorbed onto silica gel via ionic interactions, or with sodium carbonate to form an ion-exchange resin. TEGDVE may also react with coumarin derivatives to form fluorescent compounds.Formula:C10H18O4Purity:Min. 97.5 Area-%Color and Shape:Clear LiquidMolecular weight:202.25 g/molTriethylene Glycol Divinyl Ether (stabilized with KOH)
