CAS:Quizalofop-ethyl is a glycol ester that is used as an herbicide. Quizalofop-ethyl inhibits fatty acid synthesis by binding to the active site of the enzyme, preventing the formation of fatty acids and blocking cell membrane development. Quizalofop-ethyl has been shown to inhibit bacterial growth in vitro assays, but it does not show any genotoxic effects. Quizalofop-ethyl binds to the α1-acid glycoprotein and prevents its transport across the cell membrane, which leads to toxicity in some animal models. The matrix effect may also be responsible for toxicity in some cases. Quizalofop-ethyl has been shown to regulate transcription by binding to terminal residues and altering DNA accessibility. This drug also has a significant effect on model organisms, such as HIV infection in mice or bacterial growth in E. coli cells.Purity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FQ40798
