N-Cyclohexylformamide
CAS:Formula:C7H13NOPurity:>98.0%(GC)Color and Shape:White or Colorless to Almost white or Almost colorless powder to lump to clear liquidMolecular weight:127.19N-Cyclohexylformamide
CAS:N-Cyclohexylformamide is a colorless liquid that has a sweet, almond-like odor. It is used as a solvent in the production of pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals. N-Cyclohexylformamide has been shown to decrease blood pressure and increase the production of epoxyeicosatrienoic acids in animals. Hydroxyl groups on the cyclohexane ring may be responsible for hydrogen bonding with other molecules and increasing the solubility of N-cyclohexylformamide in water. The cyclohexane ring contains an oxygen atom that can form an epoxide with another molecule, which is important for its biological activity related to prostaglandins and blood pressure regulation. A heterocycle containing a nitrogen atom is also present in this compound. This heterocycle reacts with hydrogen fluoride to form chloride ions and hydrogen gas, which decreases the solubility of N-cyclohexylformamide in waterFormula:HCONHC6H11Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:127.18 g/mol
