CAS:3-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1-propanol is a heterocyclic compound that is an active inhibitor. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of aminopeptidases by binding to their active site and competing with the substrate for the enzyme's recognition. This inhibition prevents cleavage of the amino acid from the peptide chain, which results in an accumulation of unprocessed proteins. 3-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1-propanol also inhibits potassium t-butoxide and alkoxides, which are used in organic synthesis as strong bases. 3-(2-Fluorophenyl)-1-propanol has also been shown to be a competitive inhibitor of propylphosphonic acid, which is used in organic synthesis as a strong acid. It is also a nucleophilic molecule that reacts with fluorine to form 3-(2-fluorophenyl)propane diol.Formula:C9H11FOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:154.18 g/mol
