CAS:2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol is a polyaromatic compound that has an inhibitory effect on cancer cells. It also has a low light absorbing property and can be used in molecular modeling. 2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol inhibits the activity of enzymes such as monoamine oxidase, alcohol dehydrogenase, and acetylcholinesterase. This drug is also used for the treatment of worms and other parasites. 2-Bromonaphthalen-1-ol has been shown to have an anticancer effect in vitro by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells in tissue culture with radiation or ultraviolet light.
