Beta-Endorphin (6-31) (human)
CAS:Beta-endorphin (6-31) is a synthetic opiate that binds to the opioid receptor. This receptor is found in the brain, spinal cord, and gastrointestinal tract. Beta-endorphin (6-31) interacts with enkephalins, which are endogenous peptides that bind to the same receptor. These substances produce analgesia when they bind to the opioid receptors in the membranes of nerve cells. The analgesic effect of beta-endorphin (6-31) has been demonstrated using tail-flick tests in mice. In addition, beta-endorphin (6-31) has been shown to inhibit pain by acting on receptors located on brain membranes. Beta-endorphin (6-31) also exhibits enzymatic activity and can be used as a pentadecapeptide substrate for proteinases such as papain and trypsin.Formula:C131H218N34O40Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:2,909.34 g/molβ-Endorphin (6-31) (human)
