CAS:Isopropyl Cinnamate is a diphenyl ether that is used in the synthesis of fatty acid esters, which are used in cosmetics and fragrances. Isopropyl cinnamate has been shown to have an anti-aging effect due to its ability to inhibit the production of free radicals. This compound also has optical properties that are similar to those of methyl cinnamate, but it is more reactive than methyl cinnamate. Isopropyl cinnamate can be synthesized from cinnamon oil, functional groups, and an acid catalyst. It can be reacted asymmetrically with either propionic or acetic acid to produce a mixture of 3-phenylpropanoic acid and 3-phenoxyacetic acid. The reaction selectivity depends on the type of acid catalyst used.Formula:C12H14O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:190.24 g/mol
