CAS:Silver chromate is a chemical compound that contains silver and chromate ions. It is insoluble in water and has been used for wastewater treatment by reducing the concentration of chromate in wastewater. Silver chromate can be prepared from sodium dichromate and silver nitrate to produce a thermodynamically stable compound. This reaction also produces hydrogen gas, which must be removed before the product can be purified. The polymer matrix effect causes an increase in the detection time for silver chromates, as opposed to ionic silver without polymers.
