CAS:9-Methylanthracene is a cross-linking agent that can be used as a fluorescence probe. It reacts with fatty acids to form reaction products, which emit light. 9-Methylanthracene is an aromatic hydrocarbon that can be used in biochemical research and analytical chemistry due to its ability to react with nucleophilic groups. It has been shown to have viscosity and hydrogen chloride values of 0.026 cP and 0.0006 M, respectively. 9-Methylanthracene reacts with nucleophiles such as thiols, amines, and hydroxyl groups to form the reaction product anthracene-9-methyl ether. This product emits fluorescence when irradiated by light at wavelengths of 400 nm or higher. The activation energies for this process are 6.0 kcal/mol for the formation of anthracene methyl ether and 7.1 kcal/mol for the decomposition of anthracene methyl etherFormula:C15H12Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:192.26 g/molRef: 3D-FM161865
