Z-Leu-Leu-OH
CAS:Z-Leu-Leu-OH is an irreversible, allosteric inhibitor of the cysteine proteinase enzyme. It binds to the active site of this enzyme and prevents its catalytic activity. Z-LEU-LEU-OH has been shown to inhibit the activation of inactive enzymes by calcium ions, as well as to bind to and inactivate activated enzymes. This compound also prevents peptidyl hydrolysis by cysteine proteinase, which is involved in the degradation of proteins and peptides.
