4-(Dimethylamino)-1-naphthoic acid
CAS:4-Dimethylamino-1-naphthoic acid (DMAN) is a fluorescent probe that binds to albumin. DMAN has been shown to bind to human serum albumin with high affinity and specificity. DMAN can be used for diagnostic purposes as it can be visualized by optical microscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. The fluorescence spectrum of DMAN changes depending on the conformation of the molecule, making it useful for monitoring conformational changes in proteins. DMAN has also been shown to bind competitively to the same site on albumin as do drugs such as acetaminophen, warfarin, and aspirin.Formula:C13H13NO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:215.25 g/mol4-(Dimethylamino)-1-naphthoic acid
