Tartronic acid
CAS:Tartronic acid is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that is used as an oxidation catalyst. It can be used in wastewater treatment and as a chemical stabilizer for malonic acid. Tartronic acid is also an intermediate for the production of pharmaceuticals, such as antibiotics and anti-cancer drugs. One of the most important applications of tartronic acid is in the production of synthetase, which catalyzes the formation of peptide bonds between amino acids.
