CAS:Soybean oil is a hydrogenated vegetable oil that is used as an edible oil. Soybean oil is composed of fatty acids, with the major components being oleic acid, linoleic acid, and palmitic acid. The biochemical composition of soybean oil has been shown to have antioxidative properties in vitro and in vivo. Soybean oil has been shown to inhibit hepatic steatosis in mice by decreasing the amount of triglycerides in the liver. It also has antimicrobial properties against bacteria such as Listeria monocytogenes and Staphylococcus aureus. Soybean oil can be used for cooking at high temperatures or for baking because it does not react with other ingredients or form free radicals at high temperatures.Ref: 3D-FS158269
