CAS:Cefpodoxime is a semi-synthetic antibiotic that is clinically used against bacterial infections. The chemical structure of Cefpodoxime is similar to Cephalexin and has high bioavailability and high resistance to inhibit bacterial growth. Cefpodoxime acts inhibiting the synthesis of cell wall, the cross-linking of peptidoglycan and altering bacterial permeability by inhibiting lipopolysaccharide synthesis.
