CAS:Coumachlor is a coumarin derivative and a pesticide that has been used as an analytical method for wastewater treatment. Coumachlor inhibits the growth of bacteria by binding to the ribosome and inhibiting protein synthesis. Coumachlor has been shown to cause neuronal death in rats through calcium overload in the brain, which may be due to its acidic nature. Coumachlor is also toxic to hl-60 cells in vitro, with detection sensitivity of 0.0025 μg/mL. The toxicity of this compound can be reduced by adding sodium salts into the medium, which prevents it from accumulating inside cells.Formula:C19H15ClO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:342.77 g/mol
