Phenolphthalin
CAS:Phenolphthalin is a sodium salt that belongs to the group of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) reagents. It is used in molecular biology as a DNA polymerase for amplification of specific sections of DNA. Phenolphthalin can be used in the diagnosis of urinary tract infections and other diseases caused by bacteria. The monoclonal antibody binds to the fatty acid, which is found on the surface of bacterial cells, and recognizes the hydroxyl group, proton, and carbonyl group present in phenolphthalin. The antibody also binds to receptors on human liver cells, which are found in urine samples. When this occurs, a proton is released from water molecules and hydrogen ions are produced when hydrochloric acid is added to phenolphthalin. This reaction produces an increase in thermal expansion.Purity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FP41242
