N-Ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)aniline sodium salt
CAS:N-Ethyl-N-(3-sulfopropyl)aniline sodium salt (EPCS) is a compound used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against a variety of different bacteria, including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Escherichia coli. EPCS also has anti-metamorphic effects and can be used for the treatment of fungal skin diseases. EPCS was effective in treating cholesterol esterase deficiency in rats and was found to be safe at doses up to 50 mg/kg body weight. In addition, it has been shown to have low toxicity levels when tested on mice.Formula:C11H16NO3S·NaPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:265.31 g/molSodium 3-(N-Ethylanilino)propanesulfonate [for Biochemical Research]
