CAS:N-Ethyl-N-(2-hydroxy-3-sulfopropyl)-3-methoxyaniline sodium salt dihydrate is a diagnostic agent that is used to diagnose infants with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (CAH). CAH is a group of autosomal recessive disorders that result from an enzyme deficiency in the adrenal gland. This can be diagnosed by measuring the concentration of 17α hydroxypregnenolone, which is the precursor to cortisol and other hormones. In this test, N-Ethyl-N-(2-hydroxy-3-sulfopropyl)-3-methoxyaniline sodium salt dihydrate is used to inhibit the conversion of 17α hydroxypregnenolone into cortisol. This test has been shown to have a sensitivity and specificity of 98% and 100%, respectively.Formula:C12H18NNaO5S•(H2O)2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:347.36 g/molRef: 3D-FE71631
