    (R)-N-Methyl-3-phenyl-3-(o-tolyloxy)propan-1-amine (tomoxetine) is a drug which is used as an antidepressant. It has been shown to increase locomotor activity in mice, but does not have any effect on amphetamine or cocaine induced locomotion. Tomoxetine has been investigated for the treatment of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depression in children and adults. It was found that tomoxetine is safe and effective for the treatment of ADHD in pediatric patients. The drug also has a number of side effects, including dry mouth, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, tremor, rash and headache. Tomoxetine may interact with other drugs by altering their metabolic pathways through cytochrome P450 enzymes.
