Pyridinium Fluorochromate
CAS:Pyridinium Fluorochromate is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of quinolinium. Pyridinium Fluorochromate is synthesized from potassium dichromate and pyridine, with hydrochloric acid as a by-product. The reaction mechanism starts with an electron transfer from the chromium atom to the nitrogen on the pyridine molecule. This leads to a nucleophilic attack of the chloride ion on the dichromate ion, resulting in an intermediate complex. The chlorine atom then leaves this complex, which leads to formation of a quinolinium salt. Pyridinium Fluorochromate has been shown to have kinetic and spectral properties similar to those of chloroquinoline.Formula:C5H6CrFNO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:199.1 g/molPyridinium Fluorochromate
