2-Amino-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzoic acid is a white crystalline solid that is soluble in water. It has an interaction with aromatic aldehydes, and can be used to synthesize 2-amino-5-(trifluoromethyl)benzaldehyde. This compound also has the ability to form a Schiff base with an anthranilic acid.
