Synta66 is a monoclonal antibody that recognizes human pathogens, such as viruses and bacteria. It binds to the cytosolic Ca2+ ion channel, thereby preventing the influx of Ca2+ ions into the cytoplasm. Synta66 prevents the activation of protein kinases, which are enzymes that phosphorylate other proteins. This inhibition blocks the production of molecules required for cell growth and proliferation.
