Tris(2-methoxyphenyl)bismuthine
CAS:Tris(2-methoxyphenyl)bismuthine (TMPSB) is a tridentate chelating agent that has been shown to form stable complexes with a large range of metal ions. TMPSB has been shown to have constant frequencies in the infrared, visible, and ultraviolet spectral regions. The dehydrating effect of TMPSB is enhanced by addition of water. It forms polymorphs with different crystal structures, which can be identified using gel permeation chromatography. Tris(2-methoxyphenyl)bismuthine has two diacids and one asymmetric carbon atom. The chemical nature of TMPSB is cyclic, as it contains three rings that form a macrocyclic structure. A functional theory for TMPSB was proposed by Pitzer and co-workers in 1951.Formula:C21H21BiO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:530.38 g/molTris(2-methoxyphenyl)bismuthine
