CAS:8-Hydroxyquinoline-5-sulfonic acid (8HQSA) is a fluorescence sensor that can be used as a fluorescent probe for the detection of DNA replication inhibitors. It has shown to have anti-cancer properties in vitro and in vivo. 8HQSA is a stable complex with metal ions, such as copper or zinc, and is biocompatible with living cells. This compound has been shown to selectively bind to DNA replication enzymes, such as k562 cells and bacterial dna gyrase, by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. 8HQSA inhibits cellular growth through the inhibition of DNA replication and protein synthesis.Formula:C9H7NO4SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:225.22 g/mol
