CAS:4-Cyanotetrahydro-2H-pyran-4-carboxylic acid is an acid halide that is soluble in organic solvents. It can be synthesized by reacting tetrahydropyran with a strong base, such as lithium or sodium hydroxide. The hydrolytic reaction of 4-cyanoacetoaldehyde with the alkali metal yields 4-cyano-2,2,6,6,-tetraalkylpyran that reacts with sulfonic acids to form sulfones or with metal salts to yield metal salt or with hydrocarbon groups to form amides. This substance also forms sulfoxides and cyanoacetic acid when treated with hydrogen peroxide and nitrous acid respectively.Formula:C7H9NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:155.15 g/molRef: 3D-FC126564
