CAS:5-Formyl-2-methoxybenzoic acid is a hexamethylenetetramine that is used as an inhibitor of ATPase and proton pumps. It functions by binding to the active site of ATPase and blocking the release of ATP, which leads to decreased production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). 5-Formyl-2-methoxybenzoic acid also inhibits the secretion of chloride ions from cells. 5-Formyl-2-methoxybenzoic acid has been found to inhibit glucose absorption in certain cells. This inhibition may be due to its ability to prevent insulin from binding with cells, leading to decreased levels of insulin and increased levels of glucagon.Formula:C9H8O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:180.16 g/molRef: 3D-FF133622
