Dimesitylammonium Pentafluorobenzenesulfonate
CAS:Dimesitylammonium pentafluorobenzenesulfonate is a hydrophobic, water-soluble salt that is used as an antiseptic. It is approved for use in pharmaceutical preparations and as a preservative in cosmetics, including shampoos and body lotions. Dimesitylammonium pentafluorobenzenesulfonate has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of myelosuppression by suppressing the proliferation of white blood cells. It also prevents dehydration by acting as a surfactant that reduces surface tension in water. This active form can be synthesized from ester compounds, such as glutamic acid or alicyclic alcohols with an aromatic hydrocarbon group.
