CAS:5-Methoxypyridine-3-boronic acid is a glutamate receptor antagonist that has been shown to be selective for the ionotropic glutamate receptors. This compound has been shown to inhibit recombinant ionotropic glutamate receptor subtypes in rat brain tissue and to block the binding of glutamate, as well as other agonists, to these ionotropic receptors in rat cortical synaptosomes.
