It also inhibits brain functions and growth factor-β1 synthesis, leading to apoptosis in pluripotent cells. This drug is being developed for the treatment of cancer, among other diseases. ERK inhibitor II also inhibits pro-apoptotic proteins and signal pathways such as NFκB, PI3K/Akt, p38 MAPKs, JNKs, ERKs, and p53 activation.
