(R)-Propranolol b-D-glucuronide sodium salt is a synthetic glycosylate prodrug of the β-adrenergic blocker propranolol. It is used for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and arrhythmias. The compound has been shown to be effective in reducing mortality rates in patients with heart failure or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is also used as an adjunct therapy for asthma, bronchitis, and emphysema.
