5-Chloro-1-methylimidazole
CAS:5-Chloro-1-methylimidazole is a heterogeneous catalyst that reacts with carbonyl groups to form an intermediate imine. This intermediate then reacts with a chloride ion to form an aziridine. The activated imidazole ring then undergoes allylic oxidation, which results in the formation of the desired product.
