CAS:1H-Indazol-3-ylamine is a novel drug that has been shown to inhibit the Abl kinase. The drug binds to the ATP binding site at the N-terminus of the kinase and prevents ATP from activating the kinase. It also inhibits the phosphorylation of Bcr-Abl, which is essential for its growth and survival. 1H-Indazol-3-ylamine has been shown to be active against cells with a high level of bcr-abl kinase activity, such as K562 leukemia cells, in transfection experiments.
