CAS 87674-68-8: Dimethenamid

Dimethenamid is a nitrobenzene derivative that inhibits the growth of cancer cells by blocking lymphatic vessels, which are important for the delivery of nutrients to cells. The mechanism of this inhibition is not fully understood, but it may be due to the ability of dimethenamid to inhibit energy metabolism in cells and interfere with solanum tuberosum-induced heart disease. Dimethenamid also has been shown to have an effect on plant physiology by inhibiting water vapor loss from leaves and increasing photosynthesis.
