N-[3-([5,5'-Bipyrimidin]-2-ylamino)-4-methylphenyl]-4-[[(3S)-3-(dimethylamino)-1-pyrrolidinyl]methyl]-3-(trifluoromethyl)benzamide is a drug that inhibits the tyrosine kinase receptor and is used in the treatment of chronic myeloid leukaemia. It has been shown to inhibit osteoclast formation and bone resorption by inhibiting the action of phosphatidylserine receptors on osteoclasts. This drug has also been shown to be effective against multidrug resistant cancer cells. Bafetinib has been shown to inhibit bcr-abl kinase and is used in the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
