CAS:Poly(acrylic acid) is a polymer that has significant cytotoxicity. The molecular weight of the polymers range from 10,000 to 1,000,000 and it is soluble in water. Poly(acrylic acid) can be used for the treatment of solid tumours and bowel diseases. It has been shown to have a phase transition temperature at around 55°C, which means that it is a liquid at room temperature but becomes a gel when heated. Poly(acrylic acid) is also used as an ionotropic gelation agent in ionotropic electrode gels, and as an additive to increase the viscosity of benzalkonium chloride solutions.Formula:(C3H4O2)x•NaxPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Clear LiquidAcrylic acid polymer sodium salt
