Poly(ethylene glycol) distearate
CAS:Poly(ethylene glycol) distearate is a surfactant that is used for the preparation of optical, solid-state, and lamellar liquid crystals. It has been shown to form micelles in alkali metal solutions with a lamellar phase at low temperatures. This polymerized material can be easily desorbed from the micelles by adding perchlorates to the solution. The transition temperature of this polymerized material is determined by the length of its alkyl chains. Poly(ethylene glycol) distearate has also been used as a magnetic material and as a diffraction grating in microscopy experiments.Formula:C40H78O5Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:639.03 g/molRef: 3D-JAA00508
