    Glucagon is a peptide hormone that regulates blood glucose levels. It is synthesized and secreted by alpha cells in the pancreas, and it stimulates the liver to release glucose into the bloodstream. Glucagon TFA salt is a potential drug target for type 2 diabetes. It binds to glucagon receptors on hepatocytes and pancreatic beta-cells, leading to increased insulin secretion, decreased glucagon secretion, increased glycogenolysis, and increased hepatic glucose production. Glucagon TFA salt has high affinity for the glucagon receptor and potent antagonist activity against the receptor.
