N-(3-Azidopropyl)biotinamide
CAS:N-(3-Azidopropyl)biotinamide is a biotin analogue that is covalently immobilized to the 3'-end of single-stranded DNA. It has been used as a model system for studying protein synthesis and DNA replication in cells. N-(3-Azidopropyl)biotinamide is able to inhibit the growth of bacteria by binding to streptavidin, an enzyme that catalyzes the transfer of phosphate groups from ATP to the biotin moiety. The compound has also been shown to inhibit glycan synthesis and solubilize glycoproteins. N-(3-Azidopropyl)biotinamide can be used for structural studies on DNA because it does not interfere with nuclear dna or double-stranded dna.Formula:C13H22N6O2SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:326.42 g/molN-(3-Azidopropyl)biotinamide (2mg×5)
