    CAS:
    N-Methyl-2-fluoro-4-nitrobenzamide is a potassium salt that acts as a catalyst for the chlorination of aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons. It is also used in the preparation of potassium permanganate, which is used to oxidize organic substances. N-Methyl-2-fluoro-4-nitrobenzamide has also been shown to be an excellent aminating agent and a phase transfer catalyst. For example, it can be used to convert benzyl alcohols into benzamides or phenols into phenolates. This compound has been shown to have hydrogenation properties.
