2,2-Dimethylbut-3-en-1-ol is an organic compound that belongs to the group of alcohols. The product can be purified by distillation or recrystallization, and has been shown to be selective for ionic liquids compared to other solvents. The synthesis of this product is based on the use of ionic liquids as solvents, which are liquids in which ions are present in either their cationic or anionic form.
